Metal Bleachers in December

Laxers ever sit on your home field bleachers in December??? Haven’t? DO IT! There is nothing more medicinal in the off-season than to sit on the bleachers on you home field in December.

So here is the At-X prescription to get yourself ready for the season. If you are a true laxer that bleeds the culture, this will get you going…we promise.

On a Saturday morning drive over to the local Dunkin Donuts and get yourself a large regular hot coffee…extra cream..NO sugar. Get back in your ride and drive over to the field (or walk if you can’t drive.) Walk over to the bleachers. Walk up five rows and directly on the midfield line. Take a seat and sit back….spend the next 15 minutes thinking about last season. Run you successes and your failures over and over and over in your head. At this point the cold breeze that was slamming you in the face is a distant memory. The warmth of last season takes the place of the cold December wind. Now spend the next 15 minutes envisioning what this upcoming season will be like for you. Goals scored, defensive shut-offs, sick moves, and game ending glory. Now you are juiced! Once finished with your lax meditation, step down off the bleachers and take one glove off (if you are wearing gloves) and rub you hand across the field. Feel it, take it in…it’s your home…your home of glory. You will own anyone who steps on it to compete against you. God  we love this game!
